USES: For the control of the following gastrointestinal tapeworms and roundworms of dogs and puppies:
-Ascaris: Toxocara canis, Toxscaris leonine(adult and immature forms)
-Hookworms: uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum(adults)
-Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis(adults)
-tapeworms: Echinococcus species, Taenia species, Dipylidium caninum(adults and immature forms)

DOSAGE The presence of parasites should be confirmed by laboratory fecal examination. Weigh the animal before treatment.

Drontal Plus is a broad spectrum dewormer available by prescription used in dogs to treat tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. Drontal Plus is given as a single dose. Do not give Drontal Plus to your pet if you are already giving another dewormer medication unless directed to by your veterinarian.

Praziquantel with pyrantel pamoate and febantel should not be used in animals allergic to it. Because humans can contract tapeworm, hookworm and roundworm from animals, it is important to maintain good personal hygiene. It is also important to eliminate fleas on the pet and in the household and to not feed the pet rodents or uncooked meat or fish. To prevent reinfection, daily cleanup of stools is recommended. This medication should not be used in pregnant animals
