Urofollitropin belongs to the class of medications called gonadotropins. It is used to treat infertility in women, when follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels are low or as part of assisted reproductive technology procedures such as in vitro fertilization. Urofollitropin works by stimulating the ovaries and mimicking the action of FSH. FSH stimulates eggs to become mature and ready for release by the ovary.
