Description:
The 50/25 strength is NOT the same as Dyazide or Maxzide.
The combination of triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide, a 'water pill,' is used to treat high blood pressure and fluid retention caused by various conditions, including heart disease. It causes the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine. This medicine is a potassium-sparing and thiazide diuretic combination used to treat high blood pressure and swelling due to excess body water. It may be also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, stomach, pain, gas, frequent urination, dizziness and headache.
