Prevacid is a CAPSULE, it CANNOT be split in half.
Prevacid is used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), injury of the food pipe and conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition where the stomach produces too much acid).
Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication include stomach pain and diarrhea.
